  7. The Hostess i/E intelligent multport serial controller features full 32-bit bus
  8. mastering for maximum I/O performance. Bus mastering moves data from the
  9. controller into system memory up to 10 times faster than conventional methods.
  10. It offers a NEC V53 12 MHz (80286 compatible) processor, 128 KB DRAM with
  11. field-upgradable memory modules, EISA slot-specific I/O addressing, both
  12. asynchronous and synchronous capabilities, and configuration for any size
  13. system memory. Available in 8- or 16-port models, up to four controllers can be
  14. installed in an EISA compatible system. Interfaces include RS-232, RS-422, or
  15. RS-485 with DB9, DB25, or RJ45 connectors.
